Meeting and Election Tomorrow

Hey guys just a reminder I wanted to throw out to everyone we are having the elections tomorrow in room E112 at 1:00pm.  Hope everyone can attend and voice their vote.  We will also have a night meeting Wednesday of you need the time information just let me know and I can get it for you.  Hope to see everyone tomorrow.

PHOENIX COLLEGE

Club Constitution Guide

ARTICLE I

Name

The name of this organization shall be the Phoenix College AJS/ Forensic Science Club.

ARTICLE II

Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to stimulate a strong interest in AJS/ Forensic Science, to provide fellowship among the AJS/ Forensic Science enthusiasts and to promote success, leadership, and teamwork among the members.

ARTICLE III

Membership

Section 1. The members of the Phoenix College AJS/ Forensic Science Club are to be the students of Phoenix College carrying 1 or more credit hours during the current semester.


Section 2. The members of this organization are to be the Phoenix College AJS/ Forensic Science Club enthusiasts, interested in the participating and promoting the success of it’s members and participating in community service opportunities.


Section 3. Active members are those students of Phoenix College who have stated an interest in AJS/ Forensic Science, have given their name, address, and e-mail address to the AJS/ Forensic Science Club.

ARTICLE IV

Election of Officers

Section 1. Elective officers are the president, vice-president, day secretary, evening secretary, treasurer, and historian.


Section 2. The term of office shall be one academic year in length Fall – Fall .


Section 3. Officers shall be elected by simple majority vote by active members present. The date and time of such elections shall be announced to the members present at a regularly scheduled meeting at least one week prior to the election. (see: ARTICLE VI)


Section 4. The president shall preside over the meetings and help in activities sponsored by the group. The president may appoint committees to aid in the conduct of activities and the maintenance of the organization.


Section 5. The vice-president shall be responsible for correspondence and serve as an aid to the president.


Section 6. The day secretary shall record the business of the daytime meetings.


Section 7. The evening secretary shall record the business of the evening meetings.


Section 8. The treasurer shall be responsible for the funds accumulated.


Section 9. The historian shall keep a record of club activities and events.


Section 10. Both day and evening secretaries shall maintain constant communication with one another and provide the president with monthly report.

ARTICLE V

Elections

Elections of officers are held during the first month of the Fall semester.


ARTICLE VI

Meetings

Every other week.

Day meetings on the 2nd and 4th week of every month.

Night meetings on the 1st and 3rd week of every month.


ARTICLE VII

Revisions and Amendments

Revisions and amendments may be made in this constitution by a two-thirds vote of the active members.
